TMGSU is Hiring: Seven Paid Summer Positions for Graduate Students and Youth!

The Toronto Metropolitan Graduate Students’ Union is excited to announce seven Canada Summer Jobs positions to support student services, food security, events, communications, and financial operations this summer. If you are looking to gain meaningful paid experience while contributing to the graduate student community, we encourage you to apply. 

 

Positions Available:

  • Food Controller – Inventory (2 Positions)
    Support the monthly Good Food Box program serving approximately 500 graduate students, coordinate inventory, volunteer schedules, food safety, and help strengthen campus food security initiatives.

  • Community Animator / Events Coordinator (2 Positions)
    Help plan and deliver inclusive student events, workshops, and community-building programming while gaining experience in outreach, event coordination, and engagement.

  • Creative Services Director / Webmaster & Digital Designer (2 Positions)
    Support TMGSU’s communications, branding, website development, and digital engagement through graphic design, content creation, and accessibility-focused digital tools.

  • Financial Planner (1 Position)
    Assist with audit preparation, budgeting, financial analysis, and organizational planning while gaining practical experience in nonprofit financial management.

Remuneration Details:

  • Pay: $22/hour

  • Hours: 35 hours/week

  • Term: 8 weeks

General requirements:

  • Be between 15 and 30 yrs of age at the start of employment.
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • International Students are NOT eligible participants.
  • Able to work in a team or individually.
